On Wednesday 19th March I took part in a collab shoot with the lovely Julia Edwards MUA, Stacey Craig the stylist and models Shaunagh Slattery and Jade Taaffe. The day didn't get off to a great start with cancelled and delayed trains causing the shoot to start hours later than planned. Things didn't seem like they were going to be great but as soon as the models turned up and we finally got to get shooting, things started to look up!
The style we were going for was very bold colours with eccentric makeup (bright on Jade & pastels on Shaunagh). We shot in the Sub Tropical Gardens in Battersea Park which turned out to be a great location and looked awesome with the models styling and makeup. Here are a few behind the scenes looks at the shoot:
There were so many dogs in the park and people seemed so interested by the shoot and wild makeup the models were showing off.
This fail of a shot made us all laugh. Getting caught in all the twigs of the bushes to try and get a good shot haha.
Walking through the bushes to try and find some more locations for Shaunagh's part of the shoot, we came across this little park with the most amazing blossom trees and I just HAD to try and get some shots here. A police car kept driving past and there was a football team practising next to us, but we managed to get on with it with a few giggles.
The light was going quickly and annoyingly due to the late start to the shoot but we were adamant to get some shots of the models together and with the dark backgrounds and brightly lit bodies, it gives off a much different feel to the images but I still really like them.
Working with a team of creative people was wonderful and all the girls were awesome and so kind and funny. I'm so proud of the images I have created with them and the day turned out to be great.
All my images can be seen on my website www.raychcoltonphotography.co.uk in the Beauty and Fashion sections of my portfolio.
